I know it's been a while, but something on the news has caught my attention and now I'm ready to rant.

Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize = BULLSHIT!

Honestly, what has the man done?  Nominations for the prize are due in by mid-Frbruary, and he'd only been in office since 20 Jan.  I understand that part of the description of the award "may be awarded to persons or organizations that are in the process of resolving a conflict or creating peace", but considering the ongoing wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan are probably still going to go on for a bit longer, I'd say that's a little far-fetched.

From what I've read, he won it for "his promise of disarmament and diplomacy."  The hell?!  A freaking award for a To-Do List?!  And as for the cut-back on nukes...yeah, let's just say that from my perspective, that's another load of bullshit.  From what I've seen, we're EXPANDING the amount of money and effort into the program, which seems a bit silly to me if we're going to be cutting it back.

Fwew...think I'm out of steam for now.  I could probably go on, but it's still early here and I have muffins to bake before Cara wakes up.  I might put together a more coherent rant later, but I got the important pieces out for now.
