• Wow...it's been quite a while since I last posted, huh?  Guess I should try to write something interesting.

  We thought the van was dead for a while.  It had the equivalent of an automotive stroke and all the electrical stuff shorted out and wouldn't work.  Turned out it was the alternator and some little sensor thing that controls how much gas gets set to the engine.  Patrick replaced them both (so handy!) and now the van runs again.  Happy times.

  Oh, we're going to Virginia next week for a little break.  We've been so busy with the house and work and crap like that we're definitely overdue for a vacation.  Patrick's mom is going to take Cara for a day or two, so Patrick and I can get a super-duper extra break.  It's going to be a little weird, though.  Since Cara was born, I haven't been away from her for more than a few hours.  Even when I had that 12-hour shift before Patrick got back from Guam, I still stopped by Sandi's (the sitter) house for 2 hours and played with Cara.  Hopefully Cara (and I!) make it through okay.

  Huh...I seem to have run out of things to say.  I'd say "Pictures!", but I don't have any uploaded right now.  Maybe later...after I get some sleep.

  P.S. - Poison ivy is all gone.  Yay!
